We’re looking for a creative and versatile Senior Graphic Designer who will be responsible for a wide variety of in-house and client graphic design projects, including branding/identity, proposals & presentations, print collateral, trade show, signage, wayfinding and exhibit graphics. The Senior Graphic Designer reports to the Graphics Practice Leader and works closely with the Graphics Team and Project Managers. You will be working within a close knit and collaborative team of architects, landscape architects, visual creatives, interior and graphic designers. Part of your responsibilities will be to oversee and/or assist the work of Junior and Intermediate Graphic Designers on specific projects, as well as manage Graphic Designer Interns.

 

Our ideal candidate is a passionate and motivated designer with a minimum of eight years of experience. You will be required to co-ordinate multiple deadlines in a fluid work environment and communicate with internal and external project team members. Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, strong leadership, professional ethics and good communication skills are essential.

 

Software Competency:

 

• Adobe CC/CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook)

• 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp are a plus

• Dreamweaver, After Effects, or Flash is a plus

Responsibilities:

 

• Create original designs

• Collaborate with other Studios to execute collateral creation projects

• Ensure designs follow project schedules, program policies and quality standards

• Recommend techniques, methods, and media best suited to produce desired visual effects and successfully achieves required design result

• Responsible for meeting deadlines and adhering to an assigned budget

• Discuss schedule, concepts and/or rough sketches with the Graphics Practice Leader and/or Project Managers

• Liaise directly with clients on assigned projects to meet their graphic design needs

• Depending on the assigned project may serve as the primary contact person for associated vendors.

• Enthusiastically participate and contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs

• Assign and supervises the activities of graphic design interns

• Act as a thought leader and strategic thinker who can understand and engage with a wide variety of other Practices at Forrec

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design from an accredited University/College or foreign equivalent

• A minimum of 8 years experience (post-graduation) of related experience as a Graphic Designer
