Job Summary:

Deciem Inc. is a Toronto-based branding company specializing in creating brands across industries. The company stays directly involved in marketing and sales of the brands it manages for the clients until the brands can stand on their own feet. The brands target diverse industries including beauty, nutrition, technology and apparel.

The position of Motion Graphics Designer involves conceptualizing and producing graphic art and visual materials to effectively communicate information for advertising, films, and interactive media such as Web sites.

 

Duties and responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

•Processing, editing and post‐production of video and images, including colour correction, special effects and graphics

•Co‐ordinating production for print, audio‐visual or electronic materials, such as Web sites, CDs and interactive terminals

•Consulting with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content ofcommunications materials

•Developing the graphic elements that meet the clients’ objectives

•Illustrating and drawing, including developing and producing realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, by hand or using computer‐assisted design (CAD) software

•Creating 2D and 3D animations for social media, company advertising and branding and corporate communication

•Assisting in developing storyboards for electronic productions

•Working with the graphic design and creative processes department as needed

•Working in a multidisciplinary environment

 

Qualifications:

•2 or more years of related experience

•A university degree, college diploma or equivalent in graphics design or related discipline

•Creative ability and artistic talent

 

Knowledge of some or all of the following workplace tools:

•Adobe Illustrator CC: design graphics for videos, draw and illustrate cartoons and other technical drawings

•Adobe Photoshop CC: develop photomontages for video, process and edit photos, color corrections, web design layouts, etc.

•Adobe After effects CC: design motion projects, animate previously prepared works on vIllustrator and Photoshop, edit sound and video, develop renders in 2D and 3D, add FX effects to real videos, etc.

•Adobe Mocha: follow elements in a chroma to select parts of video to add special effects

•Adobe Premiere CC: process and edit video, sound, and platform to generate commercials, ads, etc.

•Adobe Media Encoder: To adapt and encode all video to any display and device

•Adobe Audition CC: To edit audio for videos (record, mix, and restoration)

•Adobe Acrobat Pro XI: T view and edit PDFs

•Adobe Bridge CC: organise files (videos, sound, texts) in libraries

•Adobe LightRoom: process large amounts of pictures.

•Google APPs (Google Drive, Mail, etc.)

•Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
