Role and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for art direction and design for the following types of projects:

 

• Packaging/Design:  develop packaging from original ideas or modify existing packaging, riders, band, headers, stickers, belly bands, inserts, tags
• Sales Presentations:  design new business presentations, design logos and put together dynamic PowerPoint presentations
• Design and create mockups for visual presentations
• Advertising:  design postcards/mailers, magazine ads, brochures and direct photo shoots
• Web site:   update elements as required

•  Results Oriented:   Feel pressure to produce timely, accurate results.  Bring closure and produce outcomes.
• Organization:  Ability to work on many tasks at one time.  Ability to organize ones’ own work and other’s work.
• Keen eye to detail and accuracy
• Strong understanding of branding in the design process

Requirements

• 1 – 3  years direct/related experience
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design or related field
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer skills – Understand the contact/communication between MAC and PC computers, proficient in Photo Shop, Illustrator, Indesign, Quark Xpress, Acrobat and Microsoft applications like PowerPoint, Word, Excel and create/maintain file/logo archiving system
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Web design experience would be an asset
• Must be team oriented and be able to work under tight deadlines.
