Description

Jump into a role where you’ll help identify our clients’ business needs and what their users will get out of the final product. Create storyboards, animations, wireframes, and interactive prototypes – whatever’s needed to effectively communicate our interactive and design ideas, and give our clients an amazing experience.

We’re developing responsive sites, web and mobile apps, wearables and more. As part of our cross-functional team, you’ll have a great chance to grow your knowledge in different areas including strategy, hardware and data science visualization. Build up your understanding of design theory by working closely with some of our development and creative leads.

Be part of a workplace that is flat by design. We feel like a start-up, but we’re experienced and we’re growing. There’s challenge in the work we do, but the work is interesting and it’s done with great people.

Responsibilities

  • Build working, interactive prototypes to test and explore new ideas. Animation is crucial for our prototyping, either through code or motion graphics.
  • Make use of colour, motion, and typography to clarify and enhance UI concepts.
  • Revise and improve designs at each step, addressing a variety of feedback, tech restraints, and shifting project goals.
  • Communication will make the difference as you explain to your team and clients the logic behind your design choices, asking the right questions along the way.
  • In addition to interaction design, information architecture will also be an important part of your role. Be prepared to be involved in aspects of strategy and anywhere else you can contribute to the team.

Required skills / Experience

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in digital design; apps and mobile a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate interactive design concepts using either motion graphics software or code.
  • Portfolio showcasing your interest in new interaction and UI approaches.
  • Nice to have: Solid understanding of front-end development; comfortable speaking to developers about CSS and HTML.
  • Nice to have: literacy in current mobile design standards (iOS HIG, Google Material Design).
  • Nice to have: experience working with agile methodologies.
