Description

Position Summary
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design and production of various online and offline graphics and presentations. You are passionate about sports, and know how to translate that into producing creative, both traditional and digital, that supports marketing and sales efforts. As one of the creative voices of the Toronto Argonauts Football Club, you understand our brand voice and are excited to produce impactful creative that is on brand and resonates with our audience.
Essential Functions
- Conceptualize and produce creative designs for a variety of media, including but not limited to; banners, signage, posters, presentations, calendars, marketing materials, newsletters, promotional incentives, etc.
- Design content for digital and social media streams, blogs and email campaigns.
- Create visually engaging marketing materials for website and web applications.
- Precise proofing of all materials.
- Plan production schedules and workflow for the entire design process.
- Liaise with outside suppliers and agencies.
- Maintain and enhance the Toronto Argonauts brand through the execution of clean and consistent design.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Critical Skills
- Creative individual with 3-5 years experience (portfolio examples required) in the design and production of graphic files for print, web and social media applications
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign; basic knowledge of web programming
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Keynote
- Experience designing for websites and social media
- Strong understanding of social media trends and how users engage with visual content on both traditional and non-traditional platforms
- Strong aptitude for design layout
- File archiving
- Highly organized; ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a results oriented work environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of sports, the CFL and the Toronto Argonauts.
- Must be able to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays)
