Hourly range: $19,60 to $29.70

Status: Part-time, term – as required (August 2014 to June 2015)

What will be my key activities?

 

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Design Artist is responsible for the design and production of all visual materials that directly or indirectly enhance the effective marketing and promotion of the NAC and for the efficient operation of the Graphics Section.

What are the required qualifications?

 

• Minimum 3 years graphic design experience;

• Successful completion of an art program from a Community College or University;

• High level of design skills and technical knowledge in Email/Interactive design/production proficiency: HTML, CSS, email templates & software.  Experience working within TM messanger is an asset;

• Print design/production proficiency: advertisements, menus, displays, posters, tickets, stationary, publications, signage & forms;

• Other design proficiency: monitor/screen graphics, web banner ads, interactive presentaitons, environmental graphics;

• Email and print softward proficiency: Adobe CC & CS6 (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoship, Acrobat), Quark Xpress software, Microsoft suite;

• Experience working with a brand and brand guidelines is an asset;

• Ability to self-motivate, work independently and prioritize with quick and efficient decision making and to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment as part of a very busy team environment;

• A strong portfolio of current design work;

• Fluently bilingual in both official languages would be an asset.
