Laura K Design is a boutique graphic design studio based in Toronto. We are looking for a creative, self-motivated junior/intermediate Graphic Designer to operate as a freelancer on selected projects with the potential for the position to become a permanent contract. You must be someone who is committed to design excellence, is interested in learning and has a positive attitude.

The applicant should have 2-5 years graphic design experience and be flexible to work independently with design direction from owner Laura Beauparlant. Your work will be done off site with scheduled brainstorming and design review meetings in Toronto. You MUST be available during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9-5).

Qualifications and skills
• Must be a graduate of a recognized 3+ year Graphic Design program
• 2-5 years’ experience preferred
• Web design experience, coding knowledge not required
• Proficiency in CC – Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop in a Mac environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
• Ability to take direction from lead designer

Job responsibilities include:
• Follow a creative brief and participate in brainstorming sessions to design logos, marketing materials (such as business cards) and website design from start to finish
• Setting up all files for print and coordinating with printers
• Creating Brand Guidelines document for each project
• Obtaining quotes from printers, programmers and other suppliers

Compensation to be based on experience.
