This is a 1 year contract position working under the direction of the Director of Marketing, for the creation and production of visual solutions for a variety of business needs from corporate communications to all Marketing programs.  The successful candidate must have the ability to remain hands-on in the production process to troubleshoot and devise solutions as well as being responsible for all graphic design and creative development.

 

Duties & responsibilities include:

– Design skills for a wide range of Marketing materials such as point-of-sale, brochures, promotional materials, labels, logos, advertising, digital and product knowledge tools.

– Ability to manage all aspects of design projects from the creative development stage complete through production.

– Effectively manage artwork and assets.

– Collaborate closely with Simmons USA Marketing team & suppliers, creating concepts that meet the needs of the Canadian market and Canadian retailers.

Core Competencies:

– Exceptional organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize a large number of concurrent projects.

– Proven skills in graphic design theory and application for print and online materials.

– A thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop/Illustrator).

– A thorough knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

– A working knowledge of Keynote, DreamWeaver, Flash, XHTML, JavaScript, CMS.
