Cineplex Media’s advertising sales division located at has an immediate opening for the position of Media Designer, reporting directly to the Executive Director, Media Marketing. Please note this position is a full-time, 12-month contract opportunity.

 

This is an intermediate-level opportunity for a highly creative individual with at least 5 years of proven experience.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Creation of motion graphics and video editing of marketing materials and client advertising;

• Graphic design of sales and marketing materials and client advertising;

• Presentation design/support and DVD/BluRay authoring;

• Web design and maintenance via Agility CMS;

• Video encoding and QC as required;

• Assist with miscellaneous projects as required.

Required skills:

 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design.

• Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Audition and Encore. 

• Encyclopedic knowledge of video/image formats and encoding is critical. Some knowledge of HTML and CSS, and experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) is also required.

• High-level competency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook is a prerequisite for this position. This role requires expertise in both Mac OSX and Windows platforms.

• Applicants must be mature self-starters, detail oriented, be able to meet deadlines, take initiative, and able to work quickly and independently while managing conflicting priorities. Also, they must be committed team players ready to dedicate themselves to providing outstanding service to staff and guests. Candidates must use discretion and judgment necessary to treat confidential items and assignments appropriately. You will possess a strong customer service focus and have superior interpersonal and time management skills.
