alphabroder supplies imprintable apparel and accessories to screen printers, embroiderers, promotional products distributors, athletic dealers and other businesses. alphabroder is the union of our five brands; Alpha Shirt, Ash City, Broder Bros., NES Clothing and Imprints Wholesale, combining decades of experience in the promotional apparel industry.

We are currently looking for an experienced Heat Transfer Coordinator to join our team.  Reporting to the Pre-Production Team Leader, the primary role of the Heat Transfer Coordinator is to design and produce logos for heat seal decoration on garments using graphic design skills. The ideal candidate has previous experience in heat transfer production, is highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and has strong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor logo proof requests in Inksoft
• Retrieve requested information and interpret artwork provided in a way that will work best for logo design and production
• Create proper cut lines for artwork
• Edit colours within logos and create virtuals for approval
• Coordinate with Decoration Services Coordinators’ email revisions and assist with heat seal quotes for customers
• Monitor production schedule to ensure it all transfers are printed in a timely manner
• Arrange with Heat Seal Production Coordinator to complete orders in a timely manner
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor to ensure heat transfers are applied correctly on garment
• Adjust colours within artwork to calibrate with printer
• Work with Marketing/Design Coordinator to determine logos required for Photo/Tradeshows/Salesmen samples and swatches
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor to complete specialty/seasonal samples
• Arrange testing of media on fabrics to ensure proper results
• Log print job information for time studies

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• College Diploma and  equivalent experience in graphic design or related field
• Excellent knowledge and experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of fabric and production processes preferred
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Organization and coordination with various teams inside company
• Microsoft Excel knowledge is an asset
• Flexibility to work between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
