Position: Web Designer
Reports to: Manager – Web Content Development
Location: Head Office – Toronto
Summary
Henry’s is looking for a web designer like you. You are passionate about the field and love what you do. Your solid understanding of design principles, front-end development and email marketing best practices make you a great addition to our web team. Responsibilities include:
– Code and design landing pages, banners and other web assets to support digital marketing initiatives
– Create and send HTML email campaigns with appropriate graphics and text
– Regularly update rich page copy via FTP or by using a CMS interface
– Modify and maintain existing websites for Henry’s, Henry’s School of Imaging, and other web properties
– Liaison with internal clients and our Marketing Department on content, design, and updates
– Objectively look at created digital marketing collateral from a consumer perspective to emphasize clarity of communication
– Report on the success of web and email marketing campaigns
– Consistently adhere to Henry’s style and development guidelines
– Other responsibilities as directed by the manager and marketing director
Qualifications:
– College diploma in a relevant field such as graphic design, marketing, etc.
– 3-5 years of work experience in an agency/retail/eCommerce environment an asset
– Strong organization and problem solving skills
– Independent work style and self-starter attitude
– Demonstrated ability to handle rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Team player with tight-knit team
– Demonstrated artistic aptitude, exceptional sense of design and attention to detail
Technical Skills:
Knowledge and experience with:
– HTML
– CSS and jQuery
– Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Photoshop
– Dreamweaver
– Ability to edit and create HTML solely in Code View
– Mac and PC platforms
– Microsoft Office
– Email marketing, web development, QA processes
– Content Management Systems
– Graphic design and visual communication
Knowledge of the following would be considered an asset:
– Retail/eCommerce industry
– Photography and video products
– Email marketing campaign optimization
– Organic search engine optimization
– Ability to assemble and write content in a consumer-friendly manner
– Google analytics or other statistics reporting for web & email campaigns
